THE CEREMONY WITH MACRON AND TRUMP WAS INCREDIBLE.

Looked through the scroll of honor back on Memorial day and found the following.

Henry Major Taylor - Class of 1938
https://soh.alumni.clemson.edu/scroll/henry-major-taylor/

Ernest Hill Carroll, Jr. - Upcoming Class of 1945
https://soh.alumni.clemson.edu/scroll/ernest-hill-carroll-jr/

Two additional Clemson men lost their life on the day after (6/7/44)

Thomas Watson Neely - Class of 1931
https://soh.alumni.clemson.edu/scroll/thomas-watson-neely/

David Aiken Crawford, Jr. - Upcoming Class of 1945
https://soh.alumni.clemson.edu/scroll/david-aiken-crawford-jr/

It was amazing the number of Clemson men who lost their life in France after D-Day.

I have a difficult time imagining what these men, who walked our campus, endured.

IF you haven't spent time on the Scroll of Honor site, it is worth your time.

Today we think a lot about what "might" happen...

If bad things occur. Imagine being in a situation where Europe had already fallen, and you have to get it back. There is no France, no Greece, no Norway, no Denmark, no Belgium, no Poland, except in name only. All conquered and controlled by a madman. Imagine going to work in the morning not to make a few extra dollars to buy a better TV, but to build the tools to liberate the Western World and and save democracy - the planes, the tanks, the ships, the guns. This was no "Police Action" fought "on the side" in some unknown corner of the world. This was the fight for the world, in our grandparents hands.

And the Rebels too, Billy.***
