On location with Deshaun Watson

TigerNet drops by Gainesville High School to check in with Clemson's 5-star QB commit Deshaun Watson. What former Heisman trophy winner does he resemble? What do his coaches and teammates say about him? Full Story »

Loved this interview

Completely downplayed the auburn and bama visitors. Talked about the importance of his team most of the time.

This kid seems to have his ego in check a TON more than RK did.

Agreed. But maybe a bigger concern...

does he also have his mama in check?

I'm a grown man simply stating wise and true things.

He did say that he has had his family involved

At the 2:00 minute point....

he said he would be sure to "let his coaches know" if he decides to take any more visits. That is NOT the same statement as "my recruitment is done and I am not taking any more visits".

You're reaching. Give the kid a break.***

a lot of things can change in 11 months

Not that it will happen but we could lose both our coordinators and HC in that time frame. The kid is committed and we have to take his word for it. Or we can come on a public forum and criticize every word of his and run him off by giving him the notion our fans are crazy and never happy with their players. What do you think is a better idea?

11 months? He enrolls in January.... Just 8 months away.***

Ok so he enrolls AFTER football season. 8 months is a LONG LONG time in recruiting kids. You see how much our 13 recruiting class changed in 8 months?

Top 20 to Top 20?***

We lost the #1 over all recruit and two top WR recruits.

So you think we are going to lose Dabo, CM, and BV….

in the next 11 month's. Get a clue.

Learn to read

"Not that it will happen"

You never know what's going to happen to your coaches. For all you know Saban retires tomorrow, Bama hires Dabo and he takes the whole coaching staff with him. I'm saying it wouldn't be impossible to lose one more more coaches next year. It's a threat to every school out there. #### we could just suck so bad at defense that we lose 6 games and people change their mind about wanting to come here. One good season or good game can do a lot to make a program and one bad season or bad game (Orange bowl blowout) can do a lot to hurt a program.

Get real. Alabama does not want Dabo, or any of our other coaches. If we lose bigtime to UGA in the opener, all of this becomes academic. Let's beat Carolina for a change and then talk about other schools coveting our coaches. This grandiose thinking worries me.

Daddy likes....

Watson said he is 100 percent committed to Clemson, and despite being flattered by all of the other offers, he knows where his next home will be, and it isn’t surprising that his new home will closely resemble his current home – a tight knit, smaller community that loves its football.

Great piece of writing, Mr. Hood***

THE SKY IS FALLING!!! Life don't have to be lived through WHAT IF or as a DOUBTING THOMAS. No, tommorrow isn't promised to any of us, but we can look, hope, and work for a better or brighter future. We can be patience, don't panic and make relevant choice to reach our goals. Yes, life is uncetain. Our best chances to gain or be successful is with a positive vision regardless of what might happen. Lets cross that bridge when or if we get there. ALL-IN NO DOUBT FOR CLEMSON.
GO TIGERS, THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT!!!!

Beautiful post. Totally irrelevant and insensitive to the fact that this kid's mother has cancer. Who the #### are we here? Is this really the Clemson family???
