the #2 ranked team in the Nation. I agree it is bullshit, but what can we do? We have to wait until our showdown with them to prove what they are. FRAUDS! A team who wins by the skin of its teeth 60% of the time. But they have the "SEC card" they can pull out and say, "well those games were against SEC teams, they will finish at least 3rd in the ACC." Give me a break

Because of teams like Oklahoma and Miami losing in front of them, its pretty much what they rely on.

Now what stupid MF gave a thumbs down for me stating exactly why they moved in the top 10?? This is why its getting extremely annoying to even post on here, cause some people can't grow a pair between the legs and be realistic. Dir dir dir, how did they move into the top 10!?? dir dir dir gee I f'n wonder, teams lose in front of them!!!

Isn't that what all teams rely on... you don't normally move up unless someone in front of you loses right? Whether by your hand or someone else's... SMH!

Now it is tough to say who beat who, who lost to who given Clemson's Schedule

They did beat Mizzou, and UCF both in the top 15

If you go by that logic not much for the Tigers to hang our hats on

Can't downgrade us for losing to "#24 UGA" and claim you win over UGA as your signature win this year. See you in a few weeks, then we can talk.

So your logic is that our win over UGA = your loss to UGA..***

Don't worry about the Game Chickens. They are in a lose-lose situation. They want Auburn to beat UGA so they can go to the capital one bowl.

Re: #10??? Lost to #24 UGA and unranked Tenn. Total B.S.

Wrong. When we beat UGA we played fully healthy UGA squad that was preparing all off season for our opener. Lets not forget that was the same team offensively (and somewhat defensively) that almost beat Bama in the SECCCG. Their "Gurley" runningback team, Aaron Murray, etc.... UGA was in the hunt for the Heisman and the MNC, and at full health they are a team that has the talent and ability to play in that game.

So, yes, our win over UGA was HUGE. A win over UGA now with their entire team cripple with injuries everywhere is not a big challenge. However, if UGA had a fully healthy team you can bet they would be at 1 loss or undefeated.

I don't like it either, but after thinking about it, I think

[2]

I see what's going on... Just like FSU jumped up right before they played us - then Miami got the bump before the FSU game. They have to bump SC before they play us, so that ESPN can hype "The game of the century!!!"

The upside to that is, WHEN we beat them, we've knocked off another Top-10 team (wink wink) instead of the #21-22 they should be ranked. It can only help us, and can't hurt us. But I agree - it is BS, and is ESPN manipulating the rankings.

Thats 3 "games of the century" that we'll have had this year

Posted: Nov 11, 2013 9:51 AM

At this point know we can't win them all, but we will definitely end it with a 2-1 record over ranked opponents.

I have to ask- do you actually believe what you wrote?***

Do I believe that Clemson

with an elite, record setting QB, the best WR in the nation (with one of the best supporting WR corps in the nation), with a hard hitting rusher in McDowell that can match anything Davis can do, paired with our hard hitting power back Zac Brooks, complimented by our top 15 defense that leads the NCAA in sacks (where you at Clowney?) and team tackles for a loss will beat a weak Carolina team whose coaches fight on the sidelines, whose star player (dubbed "the best football player ever" by ESPN) a guy who was the Heisman frontrunner and projected to go 1st in the draft who sat out HALF of the season because he was too much of a lazy ##### to go play ball, AND they LOST to Tennessee and barely scraped out wins over Vandy, UCF (who had USuC shut out for almost 3 quarters...), Kentucky, and Mizzou?

Yes. I think we will beat the dirt peckers QUITE handily. Clemson 35, USuC 17.

Why are you so concerned about this crap? We just need to beat them and it will take care of itself. We have the opportunity to do that. Stop whining and win. Geez.

Who's getting snubbed behind them? TAMU? Ok St?

[1]
Posted: Nov 11, 2013 5:16 PM

UCLA? Fresno?

Please don't say Oklahoma St. They haven't played a single team that's even ranked right now. Their schedule has been atrocious and the computer polls barely even have them ranked.

This is is an odd year. After about #8, not many good teams

[1]

A lot of teams have bad losses. The number 10 team of this year would get waxed by the #10 team in previous years.

If you're referring to SC, there are 2 teams in the top 15 of the BCS with their only losses to them. How many wins does CU have in that range?

Why do you say that? You think Clowney would stop FSU's offense? H3ll, he probably got tired just watching Winston play.

Re: also BS that A&M is 11 and UGa is 23 with 3 losses***

Using the logic on this board, UGa has 2 wins over top 15 BCS teams and two of their losses are to top 10 BCS teams... who do you rank ahead of them? It's called strength of schedule.

Somebody please give an actual argument as to why

Posted: Nov 12, 2013 9:40 AM

it's BS. It's easy to say stuff, but i want to see somebody actually try to make a case as to why this is so.

To start with, # of losses don't mean everything. I have absolutely no problem rating some 2-loss teams ahead of some 1-loss teams if i feel they are better and have played a tougher schedule. My reservations about A&M are due to the their defense giving up 40 a game, not because they have 2 losses.

Now let's go one step further. In order for it be a joke that SC is #10, A&M is #11, and UGA is #25 (they are 25, not 23 as you say) there must be teams behind them that are more deserving. We need to look at these teams ranked 12-15, etc and see if a case can be made. Easy enough...

#12 Oklahoma State - Only 1 loss (i know you guys get hung up on this), but they've played one of the weakest schedules in the country. Not a single team that they have played is currently ranked, and only two have winning records. They lost to a terrible WVU team. Those is not a top-10 team and the computer polls barely even have them ranked in the top 25. OK ST has NOT proven they are better than SC or A&M

#13 UCLA - Same record, but haven't played well against better competition. One pretty good win @Nebraska, but they got blown out by Stanford and Oregon. I might have them above A&M, but not SC.

#14 and #15 - Fresno and Northern Illinois - NO

#16 Michigan St - Terrible schedule and lost to ND. Their best win right now is Michigan and that's really not saying much.

As for UGA - They are mostly ranked ahead of other 3 loss teams, so who really cares? They beat some good teams before the injuries piled up. No other team ranked 26-30 has wins as good as SC and LSU or a schedule that ranks up there with what UGA has played.

Re: #10??? Lost to #24 UGA and unranked Tenn. Total B.S.

Posted: Nov 12, 2013 10:11 AM

What exactly are voters giving to Clemson to have them ranked highly?

Win over UGA by 3 at home

Big loss at home to FSU

At 6-3 UGA has the best record of anyone Clemson has beaten. This is my argument for why the ACC screws Clemson. You have to go out of conference to find a decent team to play and get a win. If USC and UGA win out Clemson gets wins over both they will be the best wins on the books? That does not set up well for the future? You want big games in conference and the ACC does not give that to the Tigers

30-35 that's the overall record of the teams Clemson has beaten
