TWO basketball questions: Is it possible to consistently win

In basketball to cheat. Cheating requires fans who are passionate about winning, Clemson doesn’t have fans who really care about basketball.

That's not true about the fans. Fans in all sports go to see exciting great products. They are always waiting. People aren't stupid. You ever noticed that attendance to losing organizations is usually way lower with losing teams compared to organizations with consistent winners? You ever notice that when pro teams go into a consistent few season slump that attendance and interest drops? Clemson fans of basketball are there, but they need something to get into. It's pretty simple.

Barnes had no problem filling the arena. Cliff Ellis even filled the thing when he was competitive. I was student and remember standing room only crowds. There were people standing all around the the concourse and sitting on the steps. Of course that was back in the day with less regulation.

caring. Clemson fans care enough about basketball to melt down on message boards a few times a year and then when the season is over they forget about basketball for 8 months because it's baseball and football season again. That's absolutely nothing compared to, say, Kentucky fans.

showing up to a game where there is a good crowd, and point out that students have camped out for tickets in the past. But showing up for games, being loud, and even camping out for tickets is what a lot of other schools' fans do routinely.
It shouldn't be a big deal for our fans to show up and be loud.

Name a few of the schools that have consistently mediocre basketball teams where the fans consistently camp to get in and watch games.

Absolutely Clemson can win consistently and absolutely not on cheating to do it. Back in the Tommy West and Tommy Bowden days I read many "experts" say that nobody could create a powerhouse in football at Clemson and that Clemson would never win a National Championship again. Then those "experts" listed all the reasons why it wouldn't happen. We all know what happened
The same thing needs to happen in basketball. We don't have the right coach right now, nor the right attitude necessary to win at Clemson. We need to spend the money to get quality coaches.

I don’t agree about the coach, but he needs far more support from the admin in all phases including hiring quality assistants, analyst, marketing.. the exact same thing we did in football. Give Brad the same playing field Coach Swinney has and see what he can do

I've never been more disappointed in a Smiling Tiger post.
To answer NO!Clemson does not have to cheat to win at basketball. But Clemson does have to let the Brownell love affair GO! Sorry JudgeKeller, Brad was never the answer to our Basketball woes.
