What hurts us compared to the SEC teams, the majority of our players stay to get an education and actually graduate. We don't have the players that come in and end up in prison by there sophomore year that frees up a scholly. Plus we don't over sign and see who will "make the team" and cut lose the players who were overrated. When we offer, most of the time we will keep you until you graduate regardless of the success you've had on the football field with injuries etc.

By all accounts we are still taking a full class. That means another 7-8 recruits. No coach should ever have to recruit 26-28 players. Dabo has done a good job managing the roster and we rarely take kids who are not going to qualify. Also we are not in the practice of kicking players off. Sure we may not recruit 40 like some SEC schools but we do have higher standards.

on campus at a time. If you don't have a lot of attrition/transfers/early departures and try to RS most which is what stable programs do then 85/5 = 17. Your avg # should be somewhere around 17

Unless you're in the $EC, then it's around 37.***
