"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

He's productive. But we need more power overall.

We'll see how he does against OSU - hopefully we'll have Brooks up to speed, too, and can mix it up. And we may also not have to rely as heavily on the run. But if we do, why not give McCullough some more chances to prove himself in his "old" position?

Then DON'T STOP running HIM!!!

seems the formula for disaster has been the same in lots of games we've lost...going away from what's working...!???

umm, don't want to sound stupid...but who is McCollough?

Jay Jay McCullough

Which begs the questions...

Dec 8, 2013, 5:21 PM

1) Is Hot Rod better than some think?

2) Is our offensive line better than some think?

3) Is Chad Morris better than some think?

Yes to all 3..

Dec 8, 2013, 5:23 PM

but they are also worse than "some" think.

1) He is 'shifty' to use an announcer's words

Dec 8, 2013, 5:32 PM [ in reply to Which begs the questions... ]

But he isn't a consistent, drive for the extra 2 or 3 yards after contact back we could really use.

2) Oh, heck no. Witness the scramble mode and near panic Boyd gets into so often.

3) If he can prevent the way this offense turns into error-prone mush when up against powerful teams then maybe he will BECOME better than most think. Right now his offense can be a turnover machine for almost no reason other than they are playing against their own caliber.

Did Auburn shy away from the run against Mizzou...heck no...they ran it and ran it....we should have done that to the coots .

feed him more

Dec 8, 2013, 6:09 PM

The last 2 yrs we quit feeding a hot running back and lost the game to the coots by going pass happy when we were running it down there throats hot rod goes for 40yards and u dont feed him more im no offensive coordinator but dang when a guy is on you get him the ball

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I like Hot Rod but....

Dec 8, 2013, 7:07 PM

he is not as good as a lot of backs we have had lately. Some of our opponents have put more focus on stopping our passing attack and decided to make us try to beat them with the run. Hot Rod and the line have taken advantage of that.
