She said USC needs to go after a big name coach again. Like a Spurrier or a Holtz. I reminded her those two didn't work out so well, although Spurrier had his moments.

I suggested they go after someone who's an up-and-commer. Someone without a big resume, who shows promise, and is hungry for the job and opportunity. Those "big names" tend not to seize the opportunity or put in the work because they've been there before.

Dude behind me was laughing. Also wearing a Carolina hat. We're safe I think no matter who they hire. He will suck, or end up sucking. But this hire would go along my line of reasoning.
