Rated in the top 100 players in America by Max Emfinger...attended Valley Forge Military Academy in 1992...a first-team all-county selection at St. Edwards High School in Cleveland, OH in 1991...that was his first full season as he had been hampered by injuries early in his high school career...named the most valuable defensive back for Jim McQuaide's squad...led his team in interceptions with six and set a school record with a 79-yard INT return for a score...had 55 tackles as a senior...the Ohio State Champion in the high jump as a prepster, he posted a 7'0" mark.
