on year when he played he said they planned to quietly go into Clemson and beat the H out of us. It didnt happen and I remember him being heckled considerably that game.

Edward senior year was 1987, which was the highest combined rankings of the two football programs entering the game (the Gamecocks were #12 and the Tigers were #8). it was the game where SC fan's heckled Rodney Williams w/ the "Rodney" chant, causing Rodney to throw a pick 6 to Brad Edwards.

Carolina beat Clemson 20-7 on national television. The Gamecock defense held the Tigers to 166 total yards, the lowest amount of coach Danny Ford's career at Clemson.
