you can email them to yourself with the iPhone and select

a size smaller than "Original" Image Size. "Large" usually is under a megabyte. Then when you get the email, save the attachments and use those to upload. It can be tough on an iPhone because the new smaller file size image looks the same as the original when you are browsing to select which file to upload.
