Debate question. Over the years the Commission on

Oct 16, 2020, 3:09 PM

on Presidential Debates has consistently chosen moderators that are MSM liberals. Remember Candy Crowley in the Barry/Romney debate jumping in and answering for BHO? And Donna Brazille givin the questions ahead of time to Hillary? Goes on and on.

I've always been curious why the RNC doesn't demand equal conservative moderators...

Donna Brazile wasn't a moderator or a journalist.

She was the token Dem who argues with the token Pub on CNN.

The first presidential debate this cycle was moderated by a journalist who's considered conservative. People take issue with Wallace because they think he's anti-Trump, so political alignment is apparently irrelevant.

Maybe they should choose moderators who are wholly outside of politics. Of course even then if the moderator did something the right didn't like, they'd go full snowflake and cry about how unfair it is.

OK. You're right. She did that during the primary debate.

I stand corrected.

why is a debate commission needed

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Because of Democrats and Republicans.

Oct 16, 2020, 3:25 PM

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) is a nonprofit corporation established in 1987 under the joint sponsorship of the Democratic and Republican parties. After studying the election process in 1985, the bipartisan National Commission on Elections recommended "[t]urning over the sponsorship of presidential debates to the two major parties". The CPD was established by the chairmen of the Democratic and Republican Parties to "take control of the presidential debates"

The RNC probably doesn't agree that

there is a problem with political bias.

There should be no interruption by the other person.

One warning and then microphone off.

Time limits the same way.

Moderators should allow complete answer without interruption and one follow-up question with timed answer.

Today’s debates are a cross between a circus and reality TV.

Why do we have to validate everyone's opinion?

Oct 16, 2020, 4:46 PM

Please present evidence of bias. The commission is bipartisan. I read somewhere that it even is more center-right. Hannity is not going to be a moderator.
