What's the next arms race in CFB?

Sep 18, 2019, 10:34 AM

A few years ago it was indoor practice facilities which have now started to trickle to the high school level.

So what's the next big thing all of the donors will be pulling money out for so they can get the best spoiled kid out of HS?

Money for the endorsements for using their likeness. The powerhouse football programs will be in NY and LA.

Wouldn't bank on them having to be in NY and LA. My experience is that people from the northeast typically don't care that much about college football and people from LA are going to have a hard time recruiting the southeast area. Let a mom from GA/AL/FL go out west for a weekend and then see if they want their son out there. Not saying it can't be done, but it'd be hard to compete where there are colleges like Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and even UT/Florida where the donors have deep pockets to help get the best kids in their areas.
