It was also the most viewed All-ACC matchup since the 2017 ACC Championship featuring Clemson-Miami.
The whole nation loves to see Miami get humiliated.

Bama Ole Miss actually had a few more viewers. Understandable since our game wasn’t close and Bama struggled with Ole Miss to the very end.

Current high school stars were in grade school the last time Clemson wasn’t an elite program with a nationwide following.

What this article doesn't say

is that these "huge" ratings were only the 4th best on Saturday. UGA/Tenn, Bama/Miss, and OU/TX all had better ratings. That's right, we weren't even #1 in our timeslot.
That and there's only been one other ranked/ranked matchup on ABC this year (Miami vs Louisville). So that's a great honor being the #1 ABC game this year

Wait you're telling me that a Tnet article is mildly propagandistic?

It will be interesting to see how this compares with Notre Dame later in the year between two top ten schools.

WOW. It is rather refreshing to know the Clemson Tigers were so popular on a Saturday night from football fans who watch a national network like ABC. They made a good showing too!

Should be a lesson to the NFL, NBA and MLB, but doubt they will get it.

What's the lesson for the NFL? Have you seen the ratings for the week 5 games? Even with the decline in viewership for a variety of reasons (not just the reason you are insinuating), the NFL is still king and it is not even close.

I am afraid some of the viewers may have been convinced that the U was back as many of the talking head on ESPN had said. They are back alright to where they have been since joining the ACC. Their OL is the same and they play dirty. If that is what they meant by being back I guess they are back.

So many people said they were done because our players believe in love and unity, how could the ratings possibly be good???
