Basketball history, and being a football first school sure has not held them back. It must just be a clemson thing. Or maybe possibly hiring the right coach can offset that.

My opinion is that Coach B's job is tougher at this point than at many other ACC schools for a lot of reasons. I really think that our administration didn't really put as much emphasis and support into our basketball programs because our fans didn't really demand it. I don't call the little internet/messageboard squabbles as demanding it from our school leadership.

With that said, I think that a-hole rick barnes proved that we can be competitive. Just too bad that he was looking for the next big offer.

I've always supported Coach B until this year because I think that he would be loyal enough to Clemson to stay if he does become very successful here and get offers somewhere else.

Of course, I hope Coach B is successful here, and the same thing goes for Coach Smith with the women's team.

Clemson had won 14 Conference championships in football

before Florida ever won their first.

The major emphasis for BB is/was to keep a staff that excelled at recruiting . Do we have an absolute studd recruiter. The way you sell the program is a solid way to offset our so called disadvantages.
