WCCP Caller asked who Spurrier would start.....

Sep 8, 2014, 8:11 AM

Duh! He'd start Cole. Watson wouldnt be listed as a QB.
Spurrier has gone on record as opposing black QBs.
That said, it's just one more reason Watson should be running our offense. It is no knock on Cole. But we have a different offense with #4 at the helm.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yeah that was a bad question......spurrier was never a fan..

Sep 8, 2014, 8:22 AM

of conner shaw.........it was quite obvious he actually WANTED thompson to give him a reason to start him b/c he fit what spurrier wanted to do more.

Sep 8, 2014, 12:54 PM

Yeah, he always hated Connor. I guess that's why he pulled the redshirt off of him as a true freshman and through him in the Auburn game. Where do y'all get this stuff?

Sep 8, 2014, 8:51 AM

with all the race baiting and political correctness going on, can you cite a reference to your statement that Spurrier has gone on record as not wanting or liking black quarterbacks.
seems to me that if that is so it would be a big problem for him. Re: Basketball team owners being forced to sell their teams?

The way of a good witch burning.

Especially when our only committed QB is black and our #1 qb target for 16 is black as well.

spurrier has never played a black qb and never will. simple as that.

Spurrier. He was replaced....by a white kid.

Spurrier has played black Q.B.'s. It pains me to defend the old drunk, but do you really think the man is a racist. Look at his team, not one position, but the whole team.

Honestly it doesn't bother me if any player fails to graduate from school.

So I'm not sure why you would think I would care to bet.

How can you not care whether players graduate from your school. At most, 3-4 from each class will make any money from professional sports. That education and some level of fame is what these kids will have to rely on after their playing days are over. It's our moral duty to give them the best start we can. It's not about using their athletic ability and tossing them aside. It's about the rest of their lives. I love it when I hear Dabo talk about meeting former players 10-15 years later and hearing about their success in life. That's what this thing is really about. Watching football on a dozen Saturdays in the fall is great and I love it, but what really matters is life in the real world!

those deluded, inbred, trailer-dwelling $CU fans like Clueless are so desperate for football success they have knowingly, willingly and gladly comproimised what little was left of the character and integrity of the university, the coaches and the players for a few more wins.

Because everyone should have to earn a degree.

Every school could just give every student who enrollee a degree. But, all that would do is devalue a college degree.

I wish more college students in general failed.

I would like to see the citation of Spurrier saying this. He does not have much of a filter on his mouth, but I would think even he has better sense than to say that.

Re: You do realize this is the same coach who....

Sep 8, 2014, 12:52 PM

OK, so you obviously just made up the thing about Spurrier being on record opposing black QBs. Obviously, if there were any evidence for it you would have already cited it.

You have zero credibility. Make that less than zero credibility given that our only committed QB in the current class is black. Time to start backtracking and claiming you were just trying to get the "coots" riled up or something stupid.
