Wake County NC just

"indefinitely postponed" all fall HS sports, and said they don't anticipate resuming any sports this calendar year.

I think its the first shoe to drop here in NC.

My boy's team was just listed #2 in the statewide power rankings of its division. This is going to be a bummer.

I'm pretty sure that is only referring to summer workouts, which a lot of districts in NC have now suspended or not began.

"After careful review of COVID-19 trends in Wake County and in the state of North Carolina, we have determined that it is not prudent to resume athletic and co-curricular activities at this time, nor for the foreseeable future. Therefore all voluntary workouts and practices are suspended indefinitely," the district wrote in an email to school administrators."

This is my grandsons senior year. He was hoping to show out enough to at least get a scholarship to one of the FCS schools. Looks like it's not going to happen. Some schools have shown a little interest for him playing basketball. Looks like neither are going to happen. I told him, it's ok, now you can spend that time focusing on a degree. I believe he's resigned himself to that idea.
