Tre Lamar

Apr 28, 2019, 11:35 AM

Really wish he would’ve come back even more now seeing that he had to sign as an UDFA. Stinks to see that happen and I hope he balls out

As someone has stated, he ran a 4.98 and then ran a 4.95. Maybe he is just too slow to get drafted and maybe he always will have needed to prove himself as a free agent. I am pulling for him.

Likely wouldn’t have improved his draft stock much with an extra year. That 4.9 40 was going to scare a lot of teams off. Believe he already has his degree or would be getting it before next season started so if he’s leaving with a degree, I have no problem with the decision. Wish him the best.

Good point. Tre could have used a healthy full season to showcase his skills possibly.

Burfict was also way more productive in college and was drafted at a time where LB’s had less coverage responsibilities

True. It's not as if Tre had really done anything yet when he decided to go pro.

He was a good college LB

Never in any kind of trouble, good attitude, smart. But wasn’t fleet of foot and didn’t appear to be that loose in the hips. Burfict was one of the best LB’s in the country when he came out and character concerns rightfully pushed him down the board. This was back when the NFL valued big thumping MLB’s. Now they want these guys to be sideline to sideline guys. If it was 2008 I bet Tre would’ve at least been a mid rounder
