Trevor Lawrence quietly efficient, superb in win over Bulldogs

The Clemson Tigers put on a show Saturday afternoon as they defeated The Citadel 49-0 in Death Valley. One of the stars of the show was junior quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who completed eight of nine passes for 168 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for a touchdown. And that was only in one half of football. Full Story »

They always do. Even though his start last year was a little shaky, he killed it the rest of the season. So much that like yesterday, he maybe played just one half and his stats weren't padded like some other players. I hope the so called "voters" can look at his body of work and not just stats.

I know it’s only the citadel but Lawrence looked scary good. 8-9 passing and all the passes where right on the money where only the receivers could catch it, 3 TDS passing(meaning a TD every 3 throws), 1 td rushing. On the year he’s 30-37 passing(81% passing efficiency), 600 yards passing and 7 total touchdowns. If he gets better as the season goes on like usual then he’s going to be unstoppable. To think even if he has a semibad game it’ll be considered a good game for other QB’s and we still have Etn to pick up any slack. Myles Murphy seems like the real deal Holyfield. He could end up being one of the top DE’s to ever play at Clemson and that’s saying a lot. It’s early tho and not much competition but I like what I see so far
