Things I am now a fan of

Nov 6, 2019, 1:15 PM

Alright, this board has more activity and craziness than FGF after a loss. Deep breath folks. One thing is clearly evident over the last several years of the CFB, conferences have adjusted their scheduling process to time games with national implications after the initial release of the CFP. Conference are taking care of their big dogs during the scheduling process. There’s no point in having your money makers eat a loss early in the season. This is scheduling methodology is counter the BCS process where you wanted to lose early if you had to so you could finish strong.
Clemson will be in the CFP folks. It’s just a matter of seeding. Let the dust settle from yesterday. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to play November ball. The Roy bus is cranked up and ready to go. I pity the fool who gets in our way.
That’s said, I am now officially a fan of the following things:
- Clemson football. Even more then ever.
- Wake Forest football. We need them to beat VT this weekend and win every game except for 1.
- Louisville football. If they can get on a roll, they could be ranked at the end of the year. They can beat Kentucky which will be good for us.
- Virginia football. The Hoos need to end the year strong and head to Charlotte ranked. Don’t screw it up Bronco.
- Boston College football. Especially when they play ND
- UNC football. We need them to finish with a winning record.
- Duke Football losing. Hurts Alabama.
- Texas A&M football. Come on Jimbo, earn your friggin’ paycheck.
- Appalachian State football. Go Mountaineers.
- I’m a LSU fan this week. We need LSU to convincingly beat Alabama. Knock Bama out of consideration.
- Oregon and Utah. I want them to play for the PAC-12 Championship each with 1 loss.
- Auburn football. They can be a big spoiler to Alabama and a dagger to UGA.
- Minnesota football this weekend. Give Penn State a loss.
- Anyone playing UGA…..especially the Yellow Jackets…how sweet would it be for them to tag the Dawgs with an L prior to the SEC Championship.
- Anyone playing Alabama
- Anyone playing the Bucknuts.
- Anyone playing Penn State except when they play the Bucknuts.
- Florida State football against Florida. Win one for Willy.
- Baylor football. Beat OU. They aren’t getting into the CFP even if they win out.
- Texas Longhorns losing except if they play OU again.
- Notre Dame losing.
- Cincinnati losing.
- Pictures of puppies running through fields of flowers on a Spring day.
- Katie George. This extends beyond the CFP.
Go Tigers!

I’d rather see fluffy puppies gamboling among the spring flowers but I agree with everything else.

I agree with everything you are saying except for the fact that Baylor can't get in even if they win out.

Baylor winning out means they beat Texas once and Oklahoma twice.

Two wins over Oklahoma combined with their already 2 top 25 wins gets them in as an undefeated team.

The committee might hate it, but they can't exclude an undefeated team with 4 top 25 wins.

Baylor won't win out though.

Deserving or not, the NCAA isn't going to have the poster child for sexual harassment and abuse represent them on the big stage. Fair or unfair to the team, it'd be a PR nightmare.

That said, you are right. Baylor isn't going to win out. Tagging OU with a loss is enough to make me happy.
