I thought so, but then, they didn't ask me. Darn it!***

Most likely did but I didnt see a good angle on replay that

Sep 22, 2014, 10:49 AM

would have gave us the tD.

The main mess up was the ref taking so long to get his noise to the ball and make a call.

One angle showed his butt on the line and upper body over but you could not tell where the ball was in relation to the line. You can infer its over but inferring isn't the name of that game.

Yes he did. It was clear from where his body was and where

Sep 22, 2014, 10:56 AM

his arms crossed.

However, on the side replay you can't see the actual football so they could not definatively say.

But if you do a combined amalgamation of all the camera views, it was pretty clear that the ball almost certainly broke the plane. It just wasn't visible.

No. I thought it was a proper call. When he was down

the ball in his gut was at about the 6 inch line, which is where they spotted it.

Replay crew took their mandatory break at that time per union rules.

Replay in the stadium - did Clemson score???

Sep 22, 2014, 12:05 PM

If the electronics team had and had shown that he did score in front of the entire stadium, the referees would have had no recourse but to review it.

FSU electronics = dook grounds keepers....

As often as there is a close play at the goal line, it looks like it would be mandatory for cameras to be installed so that almost every angle could be observed. With the cameras and zooms that are available now and with almost every play being reviewed, this seems like a fairly inexpensive and very useful tool.

They did that with a few of our plays so I don't get why it wasn't used on this play
