The only way Louisville is going to get in the playoffs is

Nov 15, 2016, 10:38 PM

for the following to happen:
Michigan beats Ohio State and also wins the Big10 championship.
Washington loses 1 more game (regular season or the Pac12 championship)

Or..

Clemson loses one more game (not gonna happen!)

Personally, I hope Houston beats the dog-snot out of Louisville Thursday night so those whiny cards will shut up.

They also need Oklahoma to beat WVU this weekend, imo.

I'm not sure about that one. It's possible because

Louisville's resume is really weak, but 1) I haven't been overly impressed with WVU, and 2) their resume is weak as well. They do still get OU in Morgantown and winning that game would certainly help their chances, but beating Iowa St and Baylor won't do anything for them.

I think WVU will lose again though. They just don't strike me as a playoff caliber team.

If Wisconsin drops a game to Minnesota and the B1G champsionship game is PSU/Nebraska then only OSU makes it in from that conference.

Personally, I hope Louisville and Clemson both get in. Helps the conference which is trying to build its football image and financially all schools get a bump.

I want this to happen as well. You guys need Michigan to beat OSU then go on to lose the B10 championship to Wisconsin AND you need Washington to lose 1 more game for that to happen.

Anything is possible.

I heard this mentioned elsewhere, but do they really need

Michigan to lose to Wisconsin? Michigan beating OSU knocks OSU and Penn State out. Michigan beating Wisconsin would knock Wisconsin out. That would leave 1) Bama, 2) Michigan, and 3) Clemson with the 4th spot up for grabs. At that point Louisville likely just needs Washington to lose another game which seems pretty likely. I don't think OU can do anything to jump Louisville, especially if UL handles a Houston team that beat OU.

So what's the benefit of Wisconsin winning the Big Ten instead of Michigan? I think the winner of that game would be in ahead of UL either way.

Michigan losing to Wisconsin would be icing on the cake and a definite lock for Louisville. If michigan beats Wisconsin then there could be an argument for a 2 loss team like OSU or Michigan or Wisconsin over Louisville because they would have better wins.

I agree with all that you guys are saying. But will be interesting to see how the committee ranks the Big 10 if OSU beats Michigan which in return puts them out the Big 10 championship if Penn St. wins out. If this happens which is very likely. I think Louisville still gets in with 1 loss over Washington. So would be
1. Bama 2. Clemson 3 and 4 ???? Will be interesting and I think most likely will be Louisville 4 and somebody from Big 10 but not Michigan.

the cootness is strong in Card fans. they won't shut up, even with another

Nov 16, 2016, 8:40 AM

loss. Pity. I thought maybe another cool football-savvy fanbase was joining the conference, but their message-board fans are as bad as coots.
