I don't give a rat's #### about anything the coots do. I give them props for their accomplishments on the diamond, job well done. Now show me where any other sports site links to college baseball on their homepage!? It's not sour grapes, it's a shot at the coots on this page. Guess I hit home with it!

Oh, we'd be proud and bragging, but not as much as them. Nobody has ever put as much money in two years as they have into that program.
And we'd actually boast about the great accomplishment we just pulled off, instead of talking about our rival every time we mention it.

I honestly think Jack is the best combination of recruiting and coaching skills among the 3 major sports coaches of football, basketball and baseball at Clemson. He is snakebit right now, among Clemson fans, because he pales in comparison to what Tanner has done. But, our time is coming.

We do not play very good fundamental baseball. That is coaching. Our lack of fundamentals is holding Clemson Baseball down. We dont run the bases well. We dotn bunt well, and we have not fielded the ball well in the past decade. Fielding did improve some this year though.
Our approach at the plate also leaves a lot to be desired.
We are awful at the little things. The little things that separate Elite clubs from good clubs.
For instance in the first game against USC in the Regionals. Our inability to get down a bunt cost us at least 1 run.

I agree. He is not perfect. I just think he comes closest to being the total package among the 3 major sports' Head Coaches.

and it is stupid to think that Jack doesn't teach fundamentals. EXECUTION is the key word you are looking for. Your example of the bunt is EXECUTION.

It might be execution if it happens once or twice but if it is a reoccurring theme then there is something wrong with the way it is being taught.
For instance.
On several of our Bunt attempts our guys were trying drag bunts instead of sitting in there doing their jobs and getting a nice SACRIFICE down.
When it happens time and time again with a different group of players than before eventually you have to look at the common denominator.

I don't disagree with you about the coots. When we beat them in November, I'll be all over their board in retaliation. But that's not what you said. Baseball is important to many of us. Heck, TNet has a whole board devoted to baseball, as it does football and basketball. No other sports are given their own board. Our time will come. And when it does, no coot is going to tell me it's not a big deal.

Many of us, and maybe you too, will invade the coot boards after we beat them in November. Heck some did that prior to the last 3 years. All I and others here are saying is that baseball is important. If not, Crump needs to make better use of this message board's options.

Mine dropped 5% points when I pointed out 3 in a row wouldn't be the greatest of all time. I guess I deserved it for being all uppity and knowing that 5 > 3. It is a sad day when some actual Clemson fans are going out of their way to argue that South Carolina is already greater than Southern Cal, LSU, Arizona State or Texas.
