VT player puts worst ref I can ever remember in his place!

Va. Tech DE Dadi Nicolas suspended for giving Ron Cherry the business
You can read article on CBS sports. If I am that VT player the suspension to me is worth it. Ron Cherry is one of if not the worst ref I have every seen officiate any sporting event.

He should have gotten kicked out of the game.
The VT player didn't put the Ref. in his place. He embarrassed himself and VT. He's a complete tool-box.

That is even more reason for hiring full time refs for all D-1 NCAA games. And making sure they are given yearly training.

you think it's OK for a player to act like that?
and to strike the ref (even inadvertantly) in the process?
i was shocked he wasn't immediately kicked out of the game
how about the look on R. Cherry's face? he was pretty surprised

Ron doesn't call the penalties,he only reports them.I will say this,
not much get's by his crew.This is just my opinion and everyone has one.

He does call penalties, or is supposed to anyway. Still remember the block in the back against BC years ago that was right in front of him and he didn't call it.

He was acting like a spoiled brat and hitting whatever was in his way. He shouldn't play for the rest of the year.

whether you like Ron Cherry or not, it was a punk move and should never happen. People act Ron is the only one throws flags just because he in the one on the mic
