I guess he hates having men on base with Beer coming up. Twice now in this Regional: once he's ran us out of an inning with Beer coming up; now he's taken away the ability to sacfly a guy in.
He's clueless over there. It's like he doesn't know who is on deck at all when he makes decisions. If a .200 hitter who is a big double candidate comes up, maybe do it, but jeez man, you're in the middle of the order.

Most RF's make that play 80% of the time I bet. That was a 180 ft throw, tops.

Yeah my bad. He was almost at the wall. Only 1 out of 1000 throws could have gotten him. No Clemson coach makes any mistakes ever.

and the middle of the order was coming up. And a "perfect throw"? It was form shallow RF. How hard is that for a college level ball player. Again, you try it with a subpar nothing hitter coming up LIKE I SAID. But not with Beer. I'll take my chance on Beer succeeding rather than the RF failing.

with Williams coming up. The only way Beer AND Williams weren't going to get a chance with bases loaded was gonna be a double play from Beer, until Starbuck decided to pull what he did.

I think Byrd has been nursing a quad so hard s speed is not there. I have questioned Starbucks decisions since last year.
