So jimbo says QBs need to be protected better...

Nov 1, 2016, 4:25 PM

No jimbo, you need a better Offensive Line!

Coaching.

Nov 1, 2016, 4:30 PM

If your O Line has problems ,keep your RB and/or TE in to protect him instead of hoping they can get to the middle before the D Line gets to your QB.

Wasn't an issue when he had Crablegs as his QB.

Must be either the QB or offensive line. Or the coach.

Jimbo knows of what he speaks............................

He and the entire FSU administration did a great job protecting Jameis Winston. Lost all respect for Jimbo then and have no use for him now.

Ironic coming from HC at school that literslly

Nov 1, 2016, 5:09 PM

tried to take ole Danny Wuerfell out of the game every time they played Florida.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Didn't they take Streeter out too ?

Nov 1, 2016, 5:12 PM

I can't remember, but it seemed like our QB's were always getting hurt against FSU.

I didn't him complaining when his boys knocked a tooth out of the Miami qb.

But I don't know if Fransoiu (sp?) was brave or stupid to keep getting up to be hit again. But you got to give him credit.

^^^ +1 for that tooth info

Kaaya should send the dental bill for the implant needed for that missing molar to Dumbo the clown. Somebody needs to point that out to Dumbo.

Francois is definitely a competitor.***

the announcers commented a number of times

Nov 1, 2016, 5:42 PM

About all the hits on Francois being hard but clean. I was for once, in agreement

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

funny how that works

Nov 1, 2016, 5:42 PM

There wasn't a single illegal hit on their QB in our game, but he wants protection for the QB.
So is this how it goes? If your OLine stinks then the refs need to call penalties on the DLine. Doesn't seem right, maybe he should call plays that protects his QB and has him releasing the ball quicker.

Well, the officials were doing all they could overlooking all the holding. So, that should be some consolation to JimBo.

I predict JimBo will be exposed for the sorry ### coach he is and be looking for a job sooner than later.

Yep. I see that happening very soon. FSU folks don't like losing 3 a year

Here's a way to protect your QB, Jimbob!

Coaching Issue with Jimbo

Nov 1, 2016, 6:41 PM

It is purely coaching to encourage your quarterback to stay in the pocket, extend the torso to throw the ball and get smacked. There is not a quarterback at any level that would not have received the same physical beating like the FSU quarterback. Most intelligent QBs either roll out or tuck and run. Unless you go to flag football, QBs that are dumb enough to throw with 300lb DL ready to hit them and his own OL watching from afar are going to get hurt.

It is a coaching issue. Learn when to throw and when to run. Maybe we should install a 5 second clock so your receivers have time to get open and you don't have to worry about a talent deficiency for the 1st time in your coaching. Maybe you have not had to coach as much as you have depended on the talent level.

I will never forget the beating that Patrick Sapp took back in the early 90s at FSU. There was no one after that game that cried about protecting the QB. Most punishment I've ever seen a QB receive.

The answering is coaching, not whining.

Funny how these guys always seek a way to get rid of whatever causes them pain.
