looks like they are diddling around through another signing day without acting. seems there is no doubt the NCAA hiring the AD who presided over this is giving them some leverage and favorable consideration here.

very embarrassing to whack a cheater when you hired the guy

Miami's self imposed penalities are almost equal to USCs

Miami has missed 2 bowl games (a 3rd if you count the ACCCG as a postseason game)

I know they have limited 2013 to 15 scholarships and IIRC they did the same for 2012s class.

USC got 30 scholarship reductions over 4 years, a 2 year bowl ban and a 4 year probation.


It wouldn't surprise me if the NCAA added very little to Miami's punishment (assuming that they don't find anything more than the Shipiro stuff).

Although it benefits Clemson recruiting now to some extent. I think when Miami and UNC are done with their sanctions they will re imerge as top 25 football teams and help the ACC image.
