Serious DT Academic Inquiry

Jul 25, 2017, 12:25 PM

With a master's in Risk Management, ### kinda positions could I really get?

Does this mean I can possibly be a FOH manager at Hooters?

Serious replies only please.

Also, what PhD program available at Clemson would you suggest for a finance BS & risk management MS?

Did I mention I was already enrolled in this program?

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

Yes, the relatively new program is built partly on actuarial methods. Am I in the Actuarial Science program?

?

Moran.

Please do not ever consider me for an online discussion again if you're going to assume others are as ignorant as yourself.

My significant other majored in risk management at UGA

She is an underwriter for an insurance company...not sure how she can stand to deal with an office job like that day after day (not the type that was made to sit at a desk all day!), but she is good at what she does and makes good money.

An actuary, compliance officer, financial management, "risk management analyst", etc., for a multitude of firms / corporations. My friend works in risk management here in NYC for KPMG and makes really good money, loves his job.

A couple months ago, CNN Money listed risk management director as #2 "best jobs in America" with a median salary of $131,000 and a 7% 10-year job growth. You should be fine! Good luck!
