Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 8:46 PM

Scamming again. Almost believed be was a QB for a second.

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 8:47 PM

That was either a poor decision or a calculated risk being that it had about as much air under it as a punt.

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 8:50 PM

Neither. That'd be assuming he thought. He just chunked it. Whether 3rd down or 1st he throws it. But I
Get your point. Your harm there

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 8:52 PM

Especially since they are crowding the line so hard I don't really have a problem with testing them deep just maybe not on Sherman with a UDFA.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:02 PM

That's partially BC Of what you already said. cam can't throw and when he does we cAnt catch. Cam is either running, trying to run or
Our Rbs are doing the same.

Re: Scam Newton

I don't understand people like you who doesn't respect greatness. The man is a hell of a QB, just because you didn't like him at Auburn doesn't mean this guy can't freaking play. It's a reason he's a starting QB in the NFL. Respect the man.

I will admit. Even when we're losing. He does one Hek of a superman pose. And he looks stellar on the sideline while spending all his time tucking that towel over if his perfectly. Forget studying tbe playbook so you actually get more 1st downs. Look good sucking. Greatness!

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:30 PM

He has a heisman trophy, a national championship, and had the greatest rookie season in the history of the NFL for a QB.

He doesn't care what you think.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:31 PM

He can thank his defense for that record. And Tebow had a heisman trophy and 2 national championships. Was he a great NFL qb?

Skeeter?

Lol.

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:35 PM

No. You brought up college achievements. Don't you remember?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:37 PM

Oh. And a single year as a reason he's great. By that logic the "previous qb" got us to a Super Bowl. Where's he belong, hall of fame? I get you're a cam fan. That's ok. But if you think he's a leader and a top notch nfl qb, you aren't bright kid.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:39 PM

The funny thing is you aren't saying anything negative about him to counter anything?

What is the measure of a good QB though?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:40 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

He's definetly a leader and a great player, not necessarily a great QB but he's got the physical tools to be one of the best ever.

He also does tons of charity work and keeps his nose clean off the field.

I understand you don't like him because of his past and the allegations with his dad and all, but you can't say he's not a great athlete and football player.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:45 PM

Ok, you want facts why he sucks.

Seasons as a qb.
6-10
7-9
12-4 (thank the defense)
7-8

That's one good Year that he wasn't responsible for in terms of wins. He doesn't act like a leader.

Plus, don't bring up charity. They all do it. Including ray rice. He's a pillar of society.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:47 PM

Didn't he improve the panthers from 2-12 and one of the historically worst NFL offenses of all time though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:48 PM

Is it hard to improve from 2-12? Is that an accomplishment?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:50 PM

Kind of proves my point. He got all all the way to average

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Let's just leave this guy alone

Jan 10, 2015, 9:55 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

He's a Panthers fan but doesn't think his starting QB is a leader, doesn't think his QB is at least a "good" player, thinks his QB is still scamming and obviously forgot his starting QB just led his beloved Panthers to their first Play off win in recent years JUST LAST WEEK! Lol cmon man

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:47 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

Listen. There are worse qbs than CAM. But, he'll never get us where we want to go. He can't. He can't even help stopping it. That's who he is. We need a better qb and leader on the offense side

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:51 PM

I'm not saying he is elite either but we've made it to the divisional round with UDFAs all over the roster. The panthers were just about the most poorly managed roster in the NFL in the Hurny era.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:54 PM

Purple. I agree with your point there. But was that BC of cam? Im not trying to hate. I don't like him as a person but that's many pro athletes. I just don't think "he's the Guy" to Get the panthers there.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:57 PM

I think he can do it but I think the number 1 thing I want to see from him is consistency. Some plays he flashes greatness but the next you shake your head.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 10:02 PM

Tigeerz. Ok, let's give him credit for last year. The D had nothing to do with it. Now explain 6-9, 7-8, etc. ??

Skeeter. All the psychical tools to be great? Really. Now we're describing clowney. He's just Effin lazy and waste of god given talent.

I don't hate Cam, I'm just saying he isn't elite. He's barely average.

And he is a bad person. Even the gators kicked him out of school. The gators. Aaron Hernandez, and countless others arrested there for
Numerous arrests managed to stay
On those teams. Then the auburn thing. They only paid my dad but I didn't know. Please.

He's a bad person because he got kicked out? He was young man we all make mistakes when we're young. You need to learn how to forgive and forget my friend.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 10:06 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

I didn't say anything about who gets the most credit, I'm just saying you can't say the only great year the panthers have had was only because of the defense.

As far as what he did in college, I mean that's college. He hasn't had any troubles with the law afterwards.

You have guys like Ray Rice and smith for the 49ers yet you want to harp on something Cam did 5-7 years ago.

Let it go.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 10:09 PM

Agreed. Let stuff in college go. That includes heismans and championships. He has produced or the team you say he "leads" in the pros since arriving. 1
Good year. And that's whoever to claim deserves credit. For me, it was our D . If you say it's tbe team I'll go with that. But can't say Cam is elite. Quit defending it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 10:11 PM

You're continuing to ignore the fact that he had the best rookie season in the history of the NFL for a QB.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 10:13 PM

Nope. I've accepted that. Congrats

Let me ask you this. Are the Seahawks good BC of Russell Wilson?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 10:18 PM

Skeeter. Just admit it. You're on your coach watching the game (nice break for your Xbox) wearing your Cam

Ok. I'll back off since you're a family
Man. I've the panthers too. And want the best. I just don't think cam is. Whether or not you agree. The TEAMS record says change is needed. And it's not on the D side of the ball.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 10:20 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

Cam won't put up great numbers until the Panthers are willing to spend money for offensive players.

Didn't they get rid of almost all their receiving Corp last year? (And I still don't understand why they decide to try and cut costs after having a pretty good season)

Jan 10, 2015, 9:54 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

You probably wanted to get rid of Steve Smith too.

You want to blame everything on Cam when his number one target is a rookie.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:54 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

So what you're saying is, if it's a bad record it is cams fault, but the good record is because of the defense?

Kind of like when the team wins the players played well and when they lose it's the coaches fault kind of thing?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Scam Newton

Jan 10, 2015, 9:35 PM [ in reply to Re: Scam Newton ]

Cam is great. He showed that in College and he shows it in the NFL because he STARTS every game when healthy. Just like my man said, he had the best rookie season in the history of NFL, that alone says a lot about his talent. I'm not saying he's a world beater but the man is a great athlete/QB and you gotta respect it. Period

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If he had been on a decent team he would not have started as

Jan 10, 2015, 10:31 PM

a rookie. Most rookie QB don't start so not like you are comparing him to the majority of pro QB.

Re: If he had been on a decent team he would not have started as

Jan 10, 2015, 10:33 PM

Agree 10000%. Why skeeters point that he broke rookie records was an achievement wasn't valid. Panthers had crappy times and be have us hope. Wilson, Luck, even Kaper did more as new starters.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: If he had been on a decent team he would not have started as

Jan 10, 2015, 10:38 PM

Kap and Wilson walked onto loaded rosters as late picks and into good franchises. Luck is in an offense that hardly ever runs the ball so his stats are more inflated.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: If he had been on a decent team he would not have started as

Jan 10, 2015, 10:54 PM

Wilson. Seattle went 7-9 year before he was drafted. Then 11-5 and 13-3 if I'm correct. And then this year. They cut their most talented WR. Lynch is a stud but their WRs are young and not exactly all pro. Their defense is amazing. Is that on him or them? Carolina has a D. I'm trying to figure out why we cant win consistently like that.

Most first round, much less first overall, picks do start. For instance Bortles started this year, so did Bridgewater. Geno started I believe?

Peyton did when he was drafted, etc.

Most teams that are really bad need help at QB, it's what makes most offenses go.

Re: If he had been on a decent team he would not have started as

Jan 10, 2015, 10:36 PM

Atleast he's played. Unlike the clown. Not on topic but love digging at the texans stupidity.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: If he had been on a decent team he would not have started as

Jan 10, 2015, 10:39 PM

The texans moves baffle me. In the NFL you need either a great QB, or a great running game to win.

Even with the defense they have the Seahawks wouldn't be nearly as good if they didn't have Marshawn Lynch, and Russell Wilson. While not an elite QB either he can make plays when needed with his legs. But it makes his job a lot easier with beastmode in the backfield.

That being said why the texans drafted clowney was beyond me.

Re: If he had been on a decent team he would not have started as

you don't get to choose where you get drafted at. Cam came in there and beat out Jimmy Clausen who was Carolina first pick in the draft the year before Cam got drafted If I'm not mistaken. You're right, most rookies don't start their first year, but Cam did and he broke a single season rookie record. Respect the freaking man!
