Rivalries more dominant than ours vs SC?

Nov 28, 2016, 6:25 PM

I found a few. (primary rivals or pretty big rivals)

Bedlam. Oklahoma leads series 85-18-7
Texas leads A&M 76-37-5
New Mexico leads New Mexico State 70-32-5

CU would have well over 70 Victories in the series if it had been a Home and Home

For the duration of the series! Never played a Home game inClemskn until 1960.

Might want to consider that Clemson vs $CU

was played in columbia EVERY YEAR until 1960. That puts a different light on our dominance in this series. Only 28 games in the modern era played at Clemson, out of the total of 114 games all time... any of these other "rivalries" want to compare to that?

VT over Virginia ..... 13 in a row and 17 of the last 18. I'd like to add 10 more years in a row over SC.

But consider this

the schools that were ahead were all "the University of" not the tech, mechanical or ag schools. The only other example I can think of that breaks the mold is UVA/VPI, and the Wahoos never really saw themselves as a football school. Add to that the notion that Scar politically arranged to have all games on their home field every year for half the history of the series, the Tig's achievement is doubly impressive. Given that Scar gets at least as much political and press advantage even now, Clemson's success in the State's "rivalry" series is unprecedented.
