Recruiting

Dec 16, 2016, 10:41 AM

How is it that CU can only sign 15, while all SEC teams sign 25-30 recruits a year? Something ain't right!

Well we can only afford to sign that many, (you know, the whole bagman at Clemson, according to coots) and they have SEC/ESPN money. So they have deeper pockets. More money. Yada yada.

just guessing here but it seems that most SEC schools only give 1 year scholarships and if you aren't going to make it they cut you thus opening up more scholarships. Clemson on the other hand does do diligent work and instead of wasting a year or two on a player only brings in top notch young men that happen to be great football players therefore our turnover and need is nowhere that of the SEC. Again just my guess

legacies, but obviously that's not hurting us too much. Their players are going pro, getting arrested, kicked off the team, transferring to a juco on their way to final destinations of Auburn or Louisville. We don't lose a lot to being kicked off the team, or shadily pulling schollies because someone isn't good or is injured (you know like Tennessee just did).

Man , what a job the coaches do evaluating talent. CU coaches can't afford to miss on a prospect while our opponents can be wrong & have 8-10 recruits more to sort through. SEC homers are the worst kind of front runners.

student athlete.

SEC schools will "encourage kids to transfer" when they feel they will not crack the 2 deep.
