OLB/DE Richard Yeargin.flipping from Notre Dame to Clemson?

Jan 24, 2014, 11:30 PM

(DE/LB) Richard Yeargin – 6-4, 225 – Fort Lauderdale, FL

The Latest

Friday night TCI confirmed that Richard Yeargin has decommitted from Notre Dame.

Yeargin visited Clemson in December. Since the visit Yeargin appeared to firm up his commitment with the Irish, but in the past two weeks sources have told TCI that this one might not be over for the Tigers.

A source confirmed to us Thursday that Clemson was still in close contact with Richard.

With Yeargin's decommit from the Irish the Tigers appear positioned to take the lead for Yeargin who's only other visit has been to Clemson.

If Yeargin does not take any further official visits it looks like he will be heading to Clemson. We will continue to monitor this one closely to see if any other schools get in the mix late.

We will change our prediction tonight to say he would sign with Clemson if today was signing day.

Official Visits Taken - Notre Dame, Clemson

Official Visits Planned – None

Biggest Competition – Notre Dame

Percentage signs with Clemson – 65%

If today was signing day - Clemson

Funny how TCI confirmed Thursday that Clemson was in contact but never reported it. Now they act like they new this ahead of time.

Is it kinda like when he guaranteed Montravious Adams would be a Tiger? Despite everyone else saying otherwise? TCI is a joke! It is Easy to report things after the fact.

So their one miss in 2 years? I'll keep visiting them. They break stories before anyone else sniffs them.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's BS

Jan 25, 2014, 10:00 AM

They make up breaking stories. I'll bite, which stories have those hacks broken?

They broke the Brent Venables hire a week before anyone else. They also said that Dabo was going to be getting a new 8 year contract probably 4 days before anyone else even knew about it. Some of the sources they use seem legit especially when it comes to the coaching carousel. They do report stuff sometimes that turns out to be untrue but for the most part they seem to be in the know on some things. Most of the stuff they report they do leave in their message board and don't publish it as a front page story because it is only what they are hearing and not the truth. That kind of stuff can change at any moment

Give us some of the links where EVERYONE was saying

Why?

Jan 25, 2014, 10:28 AM

I would think Yeargin is a WDE/OLB and Williams is built more like a SDE. Thomas is a DT.

He needs a year to get bigger which fits perfectly with

Clemson's depth chart. A fluid runner, but can't tell how fast he is.

On 247 profile of him, they have running a 4.98 40. I'm bet he's a little faster than that, but at that speed he'll be moved to DE.

Clemson should have plenty of options at WR, but that was the first thing I thought when I googled him and noticed his height & weight.

It seems like he has the ideal build for a possession WR.

I'm sure he could block well from day 1. He would probably need to work on route running & catching passes. (but that's what college is for…)

Clemson has the right coaching staff and will have the best dual threat QB too.

If Clemson signs him, it seems like it would be worth a try...

I honestly love TCI,

Jan 25, 2014, 12:52 PM

They put out the most information. And every morning I wake up to get my fix of Clemson Intel and I go from TCI to TigerNet to Bleacher Report. It's good to have options, one of them always has something different and new from the other sites. I love them all and we are all Tigers....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

TCI is getting worse than STS***

Dude -- stop posting other sites' info on sites' forums

Jan 25, 2014, 6:43 PM

I don't think anyone appreciates that.
