No, for the committee, it would be SOS discussion worthy, but likely not enough to get us in the CFP with 1 loss-

Better be careful what you ask for. A coot win just might get them a vote for the CFP's and I don't think we would ever be able to live that one down. In all honesty, it might help but in the long run, Clemson, and Georgia both play TAMU and Georgia Tech, and if either one of those schools were to beat Georgia, it might be more beneficial, especially since both of those games come at the end of the year(back to back)for Georgia.

How about this scenario:..with the score tied at 24 all....
Oct 7, 2019, 6:02 AM

..Rodriquez Blakenship attempts a 72 yard field goal with no time remaining that hits the left, then right upright, skittles along the crossbar and then wedges in the corner for a first time ever situation in NCAA FB? SC wins in 2nd OT, Mooschamp claims ##### have "turned the corner", Ellis says "are you F****ing kidding me" on the air and gets fired and fined by FCC and Kirby is never seen again??

You guys are terrible at this rational thinking stuff. Clearly South Carolina only lost to North Carolina by 4, and Clemson beat North Carolina by 1, so clearly Clemson is 5 points better than South Carolina. Then you look at Georgia beat Notre Dame by 6, but Clemson beat Notre Dame in the playoffs last year by 27, so Clemson is 21 points better than Georgia. Factor all that in and you see that South Carolina is 16 points better than Georgia and will knock them out of playoff contention this weekend. It stinks but numbers don't lie.

Well maybe maybe not but there's negative zero chance that happens so why even entertain the thought ? UGA doesn't scare me . All that we need to do is win out and we're in the CFBP . An undefeated , conference champion and defending national champion Clemson University Tiger team WILL NOT be left out of the top 4 . Stop with the nonsense already . I think Finebone has gotten to a small portion of our fanbase .

I don't think so. It's too early in the season to have a direct benefit. A 1-loss UGA team should not edge out an undefeated Clemson team for a playoff spot.

I don't see how it matters. If Clemson wins out (and they're going to) they are in. UGA isn't losing to South Carolina. If they did, they could win out and get in as one loss SEC champs.

One loss is not a deal breaker for SEC teams.
I want UGA to lose a game or two but not this one.
I want the coots to have a losing record and that thought probably goes out the window if they upset UGA.

Nope.
First, that win would make their path to 6-6 plausible. Still have to beat both Vandy and Vols. Even App St. But the path is open if they knock off any of the last 4 teams that are current ranked (jawja, Florida, Clemson, or A&M).

We don't get a bye if the coots win. The only way it benefits us is if we think the Ankle biters are one of the 4 best and we want someone else to back in. If they belong, bring 'em on.

No.
Simple rule to follow, no matter what team you are a fan of:
Rival wins, bad; rival loses, good.
It would be in Clemson's best interest if Gamecocks went 0-12 for so many consecutive years they dropped football.

Last thing we need is coots winning another game against anybody.
The only positive that could come out of coots winning is a muschump 7 yr extension
