Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 1:29 PM

Still thinking about it. I believe that was one of the most amazing catches I’ve seen. Can’t believe it hasn’t been talked about more.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

that's because UVa.'s cornerback is a nobody. Apparently

Dec 9, 2019, 1:38 PM

that is all we have played this year, a bunch of nobody's.

It was an incredible catch and should have been on the Top 10 if it wasn't!

It was #2 play on Sportscenter top 10 Saturday night***

I maybe a little biased but, should've been #1.

What was #1?***

I think it was a through the legs backward pass to set up soccer goal. I was waiting to see if Tee made
it.

badge-donor-20yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was #2 & the #1 football play. What was dumb, on College

Dec 9, 2019, 3:09 PM [ in reply to It was #2 play on Sportscenter top 10 Saturday night*** ]

Football Final, Palmer & Galloway, on their top five plays of the weekend, had it #3 behind two other catches, one just a routine catch in the endzone, that they thought was amazing because it was one-handed. With those grippy gloves they use now, one-handed is so overrated!

Re: Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 1:39 PM

Totally agree with you! The awareness and body control where unbelievable!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

agree. It is something you can't practice. That was all

Dec 9, 2019, 2:12 PM

natural ability/talent.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgringofhonormyfavorange.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If you were in Bank of America stadium or just outside

Dec 9, 2019, 1:40 PM

you could hear the collective "Wow" from everyone in the stadium.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Except for the UVa fans...

Dec 9, 2019, 1:50 PM

who all said, "no way in he!! he caught that!!!".

That is until they showed the replay. Then all the UVa fans went WOW !!!.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Re: Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 1:43 PM

I agree that was probably the best catch that was not a fluke.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was awesome but I can think of 2 catches right off that

Dec 9, 2019, 1:43 PM

trump that one. Ross's one handed grab up over and to the side of the Bama DB was one. And Leggett's catch from Watson on the last drive of the 2016 CG was as sick as it gets.

Higgins has probably made better catches but he makes so many great catches it's hard to remember them all. We've seen a lot of ridiculous catches over the last 6 or 8 years.

His catch at the end of the half against Notre Dame?? Was sick

Super sick***

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

I disagree! On degree of difficulty, this had to be the best

Dec 9, 2019, 3:11 PM [ in reply to It was awesome but I can think of 2 catches right off that ]

and one of the best ever.

Our Best WR

Dec 9, 2019, 1:48 PM

There was a thread going around before the season started about "who was our most important WR"! 70% seem to think Ross. I was in the 30% that thought Higgins was our most important. He catches everything in important situations and just quietly gets it done. I hope he gets a chance to break the TD record next game and then expand on it a few times(hehe).

Re: Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 2:03 PM

Glad you brought it up. Overshadowed by the CFP reveal. It was a stunning play made possible by TL’s scramble and TH’s incredible talent. We are living a dream right now!

Re: Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 3:18 PM

More likely overshadowed by Burrow’s second Heisman moment when he scrambled and threw to a wide open receiver near the hash in the SEC championship game

The Fields and Sidelines Clemson Plays on Are Easier to Make

Dec 9, 2019, 2:08 PM

Catches on. The grass is specially grown to allow Clemson players to make great catches etc.

Re: Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 2:08 PM

Agreed. I think it is one of the most amazing catches I have seen as well. A couple other catches come to mind like Justyn Ross against Bama last year and Hunter Renfrow against Syracuse last year from Chase Brice.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree, that twisting backwards 180 catch by Renfro was one

Dec 9, 2019, 3:16 PM

of the best I've ever seen, and the Espin idiots didn't even have it in their top ten! Dummies!!

Re: Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 2:13 PM

Agree. That was super human body control and awareness.

Re: Tee Higgins sideline catch

Dec 9, 2019, 3:32 PM

hopefully they will do an espn behind the numbers on the catch ( where they spit out all the data and percentage probabilities ) player catch radius etc. do they even do that anymore? i can't remember what the segment was called, anyone remember?
