I ran some numbers. After all, I am a math teacher ;).

Anyway, the following notable teams and the number of Rivals Top 250 commitments so far:

Clemson - 14 (including the top player and 4 of the top 20)
LSU - 10
UGA - 8
Bama - 8
Miami - 7 (this is the real surprise)
Ohio St - 6
Oklahoma - 3
FSU - 3
South Carolina - 2
Tennessee - 1

Thoughts?

Miami really isn't a surprise, since you could literally make a Top-25 team out of the Miami-area high school players Miami doesn't trouble themselves to offer. There are no three counties - Broward, Monroe, and Dade - that are as loaded as the Miami metro area is anywhere else in the USA. Atlanta has gotten close - much to our benefit. There's a ton of talent in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Fort Worth, even scattered all over West Texas. But there's nowhere else in the USA where it's concentrated that heavily.

That Miami has often been out of the Top-25 over the last 15+ years is testimony to how much of a clown show the U's administration has been. You're sitting in that kind of fishing hole and you somehow aren't winning huge? Baffling. Truly it is.

Hope so . We need at least one of the Coastals to rise up and make that ACCCG must watch tv .

Fooled or Financed ?

It is an important distinction . After all , how can we account forall of his successes in his short time at UofSuC if he isn't bankrolling potential commitments ?


Story sorts itself out when you look at his W/L record there in Cola Town. I bet the folks in Gainesville still cry themselves to sleep for letting that guy go.
