We prefer to expose those hypesters from afar. Refrain from being associated with such ilk on a regular basis. Make our own true path - challenging the narative, not validate the status quo.

We've turned down the SEC when it was formed and both times it expanded. Clemson turning the SEC down is why they got SC.

From the beginning, the schools that formed the ACC had a greater interest in strong academic standards and reputation. That is why the ACC disappeared from national contention during the 60's in football and began to be known more for basketball. Our academic entrance requirements put us at a huge disadvantage in football recruiting....we eventually sued the conference to make them more reasonable for a school that wanted to compete in football. (That's also the reason Scar left the conference)
