...or ALEXANDER...it's not like they just opened their backfield by letting Norman go...then they spend a 1st round not to replace it? If not him, no Dodd either to give a good pass rush?? Just baffled...

He looks like good player, I just had never heard of him before now. Casually followed draft this year.
I just think they needed another pass rusher more than another interior DT. Certain games last year ie: the Giants game our pass rush was non-existent, especially late in games. Just ran outta bodies.
Looks like he will make the interior D line that much more nasty and deep.

I admit I didn't see Butler until the senior bowl, I watched every game Dodd played so I can't really compare the two. Gettleman does love the wide bodies in the middle of the line.
I remember some "experts" questioned the decision to take Kawann Short after having drafted a higher rated DT Star Lotulelei. Time will tell. I'm not going to question this choice.
