The most overused phrase when a team loses is “Well, we’re a “young” team.”

Jun 3, 2019, 6:58 PM

That excuse when any team loses drives me crazy. Most of these players are ages 18-21 cause hardly any stay senior year to even make it to 22. Of course they’re “young” they’ll be young for a long time. They’ll never be old in college. Just admit that your team got beat. Rather hear that than that “young” bs. End of rant

You should be tired of it. The coot football team uses it just about every year.***

The reason people say that is, "the team is really young" otherwise they would say "the reason they got beat was they were coots.

I think the term “Young Team” is more of a referral to the amount of experience the players have than their age. The Tigers, because of great coaching and recruiting will never be “A Young Team!”

You're right , and the OP knows this too . He is just being daft and wants to make it into the top 100 posts since Sunday that are downing Clemson Baseball and/or Monte Lee and his staff .

Yep, the coots have been young for 5 years now. Soon to be 6.

At least I post informative topics.

A reference to an inexperienced team, not an age reference. Clemson will never be a Young Team with the coaching staff and recruitment we have.

Or when a team says “our quarterback is only supposed to be in 8th grade, or we were mentally fatigued, or we really didn’t want to be there, or they were using copy cat plays, or at least we only lost by 21!”

ha ha! Here’s a great example of a coot not getting when it’s being called a coot! Good work Hunter!

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

They're not finshed making excuses either . They'll possibly need to wait another 7 months to try to prove to the world that Clemson lucked up and accidentally beat them like a rented mule .
