Re the Mississippi investigation. No doubt in my mind

Jan 29, 2016, 6:15 PM

that they are guilty of some violations. You don't get the NUMBER ONE receiver out of a Midwest state to come to Mississippi. However two travesties NCAA wise are Auburn and Cam Newton and UNC and their free classes.

The NCAA is a shadow of its former self. It allows most schools to negotiate a much lesser punishment. SMU and Clemson received their wrath in the past but they are only a shell of that enforcement entity now.

$$$100 bills y'all

Even the NCAA knows what brings home the bacon. College football is such a cash cow I doubt we ever see punishment fit the crime again, which means cheating is probably more rampant than ever.

Coots got out of it by saying they were sorry and that it wouldn't ever happen again ...pinkie promise.
Free boat rides on Coot Lake , free housing for football players and cash handouts to a kid from New Jersey .

NCAA was like ...oh , ok then Spurrier . We good ...since you say sorry .
NCAA is a joke anymore when it comes to proper punishment befitting the crime .

I feel very confident they are as shady as it gets, but...

I have no confidence that the NCAA will do anything about it.
