It's obvious this committee hates anyone outside the Big 5.
They really must have taken our 3 losses and viewed them as quality losses.

Not saying that to say I told you so. Point is that it was easy to see coming given what happened to the teams ranked around us and the criteria the Committee has been using so far.
This was what the Committee was looking at:
There are 21 teams that will definitely be in the top 25. The other 4 spots will go to 4 of these 11 teams. Several of these teams also lost this weekend (some of them to teams much worse than Georgia Tech):
Marshall (10-0), Colorado State (9-1), USC (7-3), Duke (8-2), Notre Dame (7-3), Minnesota (7-3), LSU (7-4), Texas A&M (7-4), Louisville (7-3), West Virginia (7-4), Clemson (7-3)
What happened over the weekend:
16. Nebraska (L to #20 Wisconsin)
17. LSU (bad L to 5-5 Arkansas)
18. Notre Dame (bad L to 4-6 Northwestern)
19. Clemson (yeah, not good)
20. Wisconsin (W against #16 Nebraska)
21. Duke (bad L to 5-5 Virginia Tech)
22. Georgia Tech (enough)
23. Utah (W against Stanford)
24. Texas A&M (L to Missouri)
25. Minnesota (L to Ohio State)

I don't really think that it's deserved but I think the committee feels that with Watson we are a top 20 team. And the other reason is to keep the Orange Bowl team somewhat relevant because if Tech loses to Georgia we will probably be back in Miami with a win over South Carolina and FSU in the playoff. But I will take it. Go Tigers

Yea, but - DRad cannot have any discussion regarding Clemson. They've said when they speak about us, he has to leave the room. And they obviously see FSU like a slightly better Marshall - so I don't really understand the ranking either. Don't get me wrong, I'll take it - but from beginning to end, I think those rankings are misaligned.
