Sometimes I still like to see throw-back offenses like in

Nov 7, 2014, 4:34 PM

the 1980's that can pound the ball down your throat. Not a pass in the whole drive--nothing but a ground attack.

There was nothing better than watching Ford's teams drain the clock. 12 play drives for 8+ minutes or 14 play drives for 11 minutes--the clock ticking away. The D on the other side grasping for air. And at the end of the drive a triumphant dash into the endzone, a huge kick to pin the other team down, a nasty D to stop them in their tracks, a return, and then the repeat of the cycle with the drumbeat of our runners once again pounding away. Oh, those days . . .

Go Tigers!!!

AThomas, you make me so nostalgic tears come to my eyes.
Danny's teams were awesome--the most physical football teams I have ever seen.

You might beat Danny's team but you did not get to enjoy it because of all the pain you were in

Thanks for bringing that back

And nothing like having to wait three grueling quarters to finally have some fun in the 4th quarter. If it wasn't for passes out at halftime back in those days I would have gone insane.

Remember the game against Oklahoma when.Rodney came out throwing?
I also remember the games against NC ST. ( Sheridan)when we couldn't pound it but the option but it worked most of the time with Rodney,Mike,Homer,Chip, and DeShawn running the show.
