Over/under for Smith firing

Radakovich confirmed the athletic department was not aware of any comments Smith made in the FBI’s investigation into illegal practices by Christian Dawkins, until they saw the tweets coming out of Federal Court on Thursday. He said he has spoken with Brownell and Swinney about what Smith said.
As expected, neither coach was happy, especially Swinney.
The mod on that site said on the forum that Dabo was irate.
Speculation is that Smith will be fired but the timing and handling of the situation might be determined by a formal retraction or explanation by Smith.

Smith’s contract is said to expire next week. Clemson will simply let his contract expire and not renew it. This avoids all legal issues of firing without cause and is an easy out fir CU.

CBB & staff should terminated & banished from state of SC, unless he produces 2 million cash, the 2 million he essentially stole. He and his staff are a negative entity, exposed by Smith's stupidity; they willfully created a spiteful and toxic atmosphere, that will live on, as long as they remain employed by the university. He should resign but he will not.

Dabo's program under the bus with some make believe BS. And he was caught on video. Radakovich spoke to both Dabo and Brownell about the situation and said "neither coach was very happy about it, especially Swinney." The publisher of the sight the story was on later in the forums said that Dabo was irate about Smith's shenanigans . And that Dabo and Brownell have a close and very friendly relationship. Go to the Clemson Insider and read the story if you don't understand what Dabo has to do with it.

I think it would have helped if he had stated what Smith said, or that he said something about the football program's recruiting. Otherwise why would I expect the football coach to be irate or in any way involved in something that a basketball coach said.
