The referee that reviewed the TD on Oregon caused the swing in this game. He clearly missed that call and put the ball at the 1 yard line instead of being a TD. Several plays later, a fumble turned into a 95 yard TD for Stanford. The momentum immediately changed after that. Stanford does not deserve this win if that what happens. It is all of that referee's bad call. Not a fan of either team but Oregon was robbed on that one.

That was the right call, unfortunately. The ball was still it about the “half yard line” when the runner’s foot hit the pylon, which is out of bounds. Had he extended the ball and hit the pylon it would’ve been a touchdown… But because he hit it with his foot that meant he was out of bounds at that instant and the ball had not yet crossed the plane.

When the player's foot hits the pylon he is out of bounds. I haven't seen the play but one time, but if the ball was not over the goal line before that happened then it was the right call.
