One minor change to our uniforms (Bring back purple stripe)

Clemson football is about as perfect as things can get. But one very minor change is to add just a little more color to our white pants. Back in the mid to late 80's we had a purple stripe (it may have been navy blue) running down our pants.
We now have 2 orange stripes with white in between.
I think out of all our uniform pants (orange, purple and white) only the white pants don't utilize the 3 colors (orange, purple and white).

That was a black stripe and matched the black stripes on the helmet and the outline of the numbers. Danny didn’t have any purple on the uniforms. It came back around the time of the woohoo people.

have never had a black stripe. The stripes were always a dark navy blue.

The white game pants needs a purple stripe between the two orange stripes. No spacing between them. The stripes should match the helmet.

I had no idea what stripes were on our pants. I've watched 95% of our games the last 40 years or so. I just never pay attention I guess other than overall colors.

I’m afraid the extra stripe would add unneeded weight this slowing us down a half step. Pretty, yes! Functional, not so much.

I remember those days (Bowden era) when we focused on uniforms that would help us win games. I'm so glad we are past that. Don't care what we wear - our talent, execution and confidence will carry us to victory!

to talk about. I'd like to return purple stripes use that more in pants and jerseys. I'd like to see our jerseys with the shoulder stripes like LSU. In the 50's and early 60's we had those and it was cool looking. You can use purple but still not go Oregon or SCAR on the uniforms.

and a pair of shorts from the bookstore from back then, and all are navy w/ orange paws and graphics outlined in white.
