The Heat

Oct 10, 2017, 8:38 AM

I don't know if anyone noticed, but the heat and humidity at the BC and Wake Forest game was unbearable. People sitting around me were passing out and had to be carried out on stretchers and I had 50 yard-line seats! I can't imagine what it was like on the hill. I say wait till cool weather and then see what will happen to the hill.

It wasn't that bad !!!

In fact, it was much worse at the Kent State game IMO.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

No way

Kent was the coolest, lowest-humidity opener we've had in years (maybe decades). Summer caught up to us big time vs. BC and WF.

Yea...I was referring to BC.***

it's a climate-controlled world nowadays

the lack of physical labor and spending time outside makes people less tolerant of heat/cold than ever before. If it's above 75 it's too hot. Below 65 - it's too cold.

You are right. Their was no way a snowflake was going to last the whole game.

Obviously, they DID NOT attend the UGA game in 2003 or Furman in 1989

That was stifling heat!!!! Heat indexes were around 105 or more for both of these games. I was in Upper Deck. Miami in 2005 gets an Honorable Mention.

Ahh, Furman in 1989. I will not forget that one - TigerBand wool uniform. Back then, we were not allowed to take off our jackets. Good times...

I was there for UGA in 03! That was BRUTAL! That was of the few times I dehydrated, I sweated so much that I stopped sweating and every time I stood up I got light headed and to sit back down until somebody got me a bottle of water. I always make sure I'm loaded down with water or Gatorade from then on.
