Jamaree Salyer, Anthony Cook and Trey Hill were all no-shows. I got a text about 20 minutes ago that said who didn't show, and I've tried to contact the kids to find out why. None of them have answered, which isn't shocking

This is so strange. If these guys were on the fence about coming it would be different. But they were all confirmed, as recently as last night, by multiple sources to be attending. Then just all randomly no show without explanation? So so so strange.

Especially with Cook, Hill, Salyer all bringing mom etc too. How could all 3 be coming, making the plan, packing...then just not come.
I have never paid for a vacation week somewhere, asked off from work, packed amd got ready, then not go the day of.
Be different if only one could not come due to sickness. Understandable.

coincidence . . . was each phenomenally beset by some unfortunate event or mix-up? It could happen, and if so I certainly hope they are all safe and sound. Or is something else going on here? Maybe there is a reasonable explanation - we'll know soon enough, but it's really odd - and disappointing.

Wonder about the linemen (cooks had family death) those 2 guys are huge priority. We have other ot prospect to replace Carmen who's top 5 ot and top 50 overall but those guards are huge expectably Salyer. I hope that's not bad signs bc both we suppose to bring family's. Did Tyrone Johnson come. He's a beast at CB and what you think our chances on him are? We are def still in running if he came to cookout

This week in recruiting got very sketchy, very quickly. Monday was a silent and then committed to Auburn on a visit, Hill was "too tired" after his Auburn visit, and Salyer was a straight no-show? And Henry and Ross just happened to have 7-on-7s? This has been very weird...

I can promise you, from being a close friend of one of the insiders, who only tells me one thing, "What you read and hear is often not even close to what is happening".Even some of the stuff players say themselves, is not what they are telling coaches.

That was hilarious ! I very rarely watch Division II football, but that was fairly entertaining when I was able to stop laughing. I loved the power that MacKenzie showed when stopped on the 4th down run. Great coaching when you need a couple of yards and you give it to a wideout rather than your All-American 230 Lb. running back.

Take a deep breath and relax. Let the situation play out. We may or may not get a particular player but there are many others who are good players and want to be at Clemson.
FWIW I can't tell you how many times we missed on a player and experience a board meltdown. It always works out for the best

I dunno, man. Think how good we could have been if we had gotten Nkemdiche or that all-everything LB who went to Michigan. They may have been the final pieces to the puzzle to get us a Championship, but no, they went elsewhere and where did that leave us? I'm telling you, this may be the beginning of the end.
We have crazy-good players returning, crazy-good new guys committed and crazy-good coaches. I'm sure those no shows had their reasons and I wish them well wherever they go. We will be fine. I think we will get one or two more trophies in the next 8 years whether or not one or two 17 year olds come to the cookout. Hold on for a heck of a ride and thank God you aren't a Gamecock.
