Jackson Carman vs. Chase Young

Dec 29, 2019, 4:33 PM

Chase Young had 2 tackles last night according to the stats I saw. 1 TFL.

Props to Jackson Carman! He had him 1 on 1 most of the time. Super impressed with his progress this year.

they spent a good while talking after the game. Seemed to be good mutual respect there which is always nice to see. If fans compartmentalized as well players it would be refreshing

I was very impressed with Chase- Seems like a class young man. Would have been a good fit for the Tigers!

Anchrum played well too

I was happy for our OL other than in the running game. They shut our non QB runs down.

Props to Tremayne Anchrum too. They had Young lining up on both sides and both tackles did a great job against him for the most part. I think there was one play where Anchrum got beat by someone else, but other than that he played a good game. And Carman has been great this year replacing Hyatt.

The play you’re talking about

Dec 29, 2019, 5:42 PM

With 1 minute left in the first quarter, third and medium-long (6-7 yards maybe), Anchrum “Ole’d” a DT and just let him come unabated to sack TL 16. Just watched the guy run right by him.

Nothing personal against Anchrum, but if Mitch Hyatt isn’t a viable NFL O lineman (or only marginal), Anchrum definitely isn’t going to make it. Too many misses, too many false starts.
