I couldn't agree more. The wingnuts are so stupid, they let themselves get played like a fiddle. They'd happily hand their Social Security and Medicare over to Paul Ryan. Sometimes I think Mencken got it absolutely right: "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." As of now, all that's standing between the middle class and disaster is Obama and the presidential veto--which he had better be prepared to use.

Well, if Obama was in the WH for much longer, he could very well use his bully pulpit to discourage the use of animal nicknames for sports teams. He went after Redskins which he thinks demeans Indians. Maybe animals are next on his agenda. So, there you have it. That's what it has to do with football.
