I rewatched the first half and did not see a single blitz.

I could be wrong because Kent refused to pass, so maybe the LBs or Safeties were going to blitz, but I did not see any obvious blitzes.
And our offense was aas vanilla as you can get in a spread offense.
Happy we showed absolutely nothing.
With no injuries, it could not have played out any better.
My only slight complaint is that so mny redshirts were burnt yesterday. I was really suprised.

Which redshirts did you think were unnecessarily burned? I'm not criticizing, just wondering, because from what I saw, all the true frosh I saw out there were expected to play all along.

In this day and time red shirting a highly recruited future NFL caliber player has become almost non-existent unless there is an injury. Guys like Tee Higgins and Amari Rogers and others come to campus fully expecting to avoid red shirts. And they almost always do.
The situation with Shaq Smith last year was highly unusual.
And what may very well happen is that Smith will catch on, get healthy, and then hit his 5-star stride and be gone after only one stellar year of contribution on the field.

I just finished watching the Auburn game and while they are talented I do not see the comparison with Clemson. We looked deep on 3rd string and Auburn kept most of their starters in the entire game.

Those coaches unnessarily burning redshirts, I really wish they would do their homework and have a plan. Very upsetting.

I hope we blitz like crazy next week, Stidham often panicked when he had people in his area yesterday.
Gotta be careful tho, he did seem to have better wheels than I have given him credit for.
