I don’t understand how you don’t give Trevor the Heisman

Let’s say for the sake of the argument that both Mac Jones and Kyle Trask have slightly better numbers than Lawrence. I’m not sure they do but I know if they do it can’t be by a lot.
In this case you give the award to the best player and Lawrence is head and shoulders a better player

Other teams pack the stats

Look at how many passes their backups get. Almost none, even in blowouts. One injury and both teams are toast. Dabo develops depth, better total team.

The answer is Bama is loaded with WR's and a top OL, and Mac Jones has the stats. Clemson's WR's are very good this year. Bama's are great. Jones threw for 5 TD's today. Lawrence for 2 with at least 2 called back. Sarkisian, Saban, Ryan Day and most HC's push for a Heisman winner. Dabo pushes for championships and playing substitutes. Different approach but should not be mutually exclusive IMHO.

Was listening to ESPN U the other day and someone said it’s amazing how people forgot Trevor since he had covid and how anyone would take him as a QB over any other QB. They also referenced how Watson was screwed when Lamar won it. Once that happened, it lost its prestige to me. I’d love for him to win because he 100% deserves it and it’s a shame it won’t happen.

If the voters are paying attention, TL wins hands down. Little things like that 3rd and 5 run, he gets done where Jones and trask don’t have to.
Couple that with there not being a season if not for TL...

Kylee Trask has much better stats.
Both him and TL have played the same number of games.
TL has 2236 yards passing with 19 td passes and 4 td runs for 23 total tds.
Tradk has 2810 yards with 34 passing tds and no rushing tds.
Obviously TL is the best player in the country and I think he should win the heisman too, but Trask has had a fantastic year. If he wins it it won’t be because “esecpn” screwed him.

What stat are you looking at? I don't see a single measure where Trevor is even in the top 5. (Which is not surpising given that he had covid...there is no shame in that)
https://www.espn.com/college-football/qbr
Top qb rating - Mac Jones, Fields, Trask (Trevor #7)
https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/individual/8
Completion percentage Justin Fields, Mac Jones (Trevor #9)
Passing yards per game Mac Jones #3 Trevor #12
Passing TDS Trask #1, Trevor #12
Trevor #7
