I've never seen it mentioned anywhere so I'm assuming he wasnt

Possibly because he enrolled early at Clemson.

He enrolled early so he wasn't drafted but considered a high "draft prospect" so probably top 3 rounds if he entered.

he graduated HS in December and enrolled at Clemson.

Had Beer stayed at Lambert for his senior season, he likely would have been a first-round selection in this year’s MLB draft.

Instead, Beer gave up his draft eligibility to enroll at Clemson, where he is set to play at least three years of college baseball before regaining draft eligibility in 2018.

Don’t get no better than Seth Beer. He stuck with the Tigers through a tough transition but quickly became Monte’s face of the program.

A true role model for any H.S. player.
